Dr. Valencia started in career in the veterinary field while living in the Philippines. After graduation he worked with large animals as he grew up with farm animals, back home. Dr. Valencia and his family moved to Canada in 2014 and he joined the team at the St Boniface General Hospital Research Center. While working at the research center, Dr. Valencia’s became interested in small animal health and he started his journey to becoming a small animal practitioner. He began volunteering in small animal practices and prepared for the last portion of his certification and became fully licensed in early 2024.
Dr. Valencia joined St. Norbert Animal Hospital in May 2024, and enjoys many aspects of veterinary medicine but is particularly fond of soft tissue surgery.
Dr. Valencia spends most of his free time going to parks and lakes with his family and his dog Kobe.
